What We Do

Get students what they need – when they need it:

All students have individual needs. Each school we enter is assigned a full-time Success Coach.  The  role of a Success Coach is to help organize community-based services to respond quickly, on a case-by-case basis to get children what they need — when they need it, so they can achieve in school, and graduate on-time, prepared for their future.

Provide Prevention and Intervention Services:

Level One / Prevention Service: Short-term  resources such as school supplies, clothing, or health screenings available to all students at a school.

Level Two / Intervention Services: Long-term resources such as, tutoring, mentoring, case management, and curriculum, provided through well defined initiatives for students who need additional help with attendance, behavior referrals, or course achievement.

“Being part of the ‘team’ that initiated CIS in the Midlands was one of the greatest experiences of my life….Being able to present awards and scholarships to students who never gave up on themselves even when others had was particularly gratifying.  It was an honor to serve and privilege to serve as the founding executive director.  ”                   -Rick Noble, Founding Executive Director of CIS-M
